Some Zim musicians ripe while others are unripe comments Willom Tight
Willom Tight (born Willbroad Muponda) is a Zimbabwean Afro-Jazz musician. Tight was popular in the 2000s mostly with the album ‘Ndinoda Wangu’. The title track became an instant hit on local stations. In the years to follow, Tight teamed up with another talented singer Dino Mudondo. The two went on to release a string of hits such as 'Bhazi', 'Makoikoi' and 'Chirangano' in 2013, he decided to go international releasing his fifth album 'Manifesto' which features South African stars Uhuru, Speedy (Bongo Muffin) and Malian legend Salif Keita.
Asked by OyOsNews about being silent in the music industry, Tight quickly responded that he recently did a track with OyOsMusic signed up artist Kay Gee 40 titled 'Tigara Gara Toudzana', “Now where is the shift from music coming from am in Jo'burg working on a project and my son has songs that feature me too.”
He commented that some Zimbabwean musicians are ripe while others are still going through the process of reaching their zenith, his greatest achievement is his family and the life he leads.
